You CANNOT get an individual health insurance policy in 2015 after February 15th.
Everyone needs to be aware of this but very few people are.
One of the changes brought about by the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is that people can only get coverage during the “Open Enrollment” period each year. And that window is about to shut.
That’s true for plans on the Marketplace and plans that are outside the Marketplace.
After February 15th the opportunity to enroll you and your family in a health insurance plan for 2015 is gone.
So you won’t be able to get the coverage you need, and (whether you like it politically or not) you will wind up owing a fine on your taxes for not having coverage.
If you’ve been waiting or thinking about your options, it’s time to make a decision!

A Simple Way to Enroll in Obamacare
The good news: We’ve made it very simple to look at plans and prices and to find out if you’re eligible for premium subsidies to lower your costs (most people are).
Our platform is far more user-friendly than the government system. You’ll see quotes instantly, and can be done enrolling in less than 10 minutes.
In fact, you’ll never have to interact with healthcare .gov — our system syncs with them behind the scenes. That saves you a LOT of time and frustration.
