If you’re like many of our clients, you enrolled in Marketplace health insurance plan with BlueCross BlueShield South Carolina.
As you (hopefully) know, your first premium must be paid in order for your plan to take effect January 1. There are a few ways you can pay:
- Pay by phone. Have BlueCross ID number handy and call 855-404-6752, then press option 1
- Pay online. Visit www.SouthCarolinaBlues.com. Log in to My Health Toolkit®, scroll down to Quick Links and select Pay Online.
For some people, however, there’s a problem: They haven’t received ID cards yet.
How can you pay your BCBS-SC bill if you don’t have an ID card?
1. Go to SouthCarolinaBlues.com
2. At the top right there’s a box labeled “Member Login” or “My Health Toolkit.” Below the fields for member name and password, click the link that says “Create an Account.”
3. That takes you to a page that says “Tell Us Who You Are.” You can enter your member ID number OR your social security number. Then enter your date of birth.
That will allow you to register using your social security number and date of birth. Then you can pay your bill, see your ID card, etc.
