Bright Health Plan has announced they are leaving the individual health insurance Marketplace.
Bright has been on the Marketplace in South Carolina for two years, and has been on the Marketplace in some other states a bit longer. Obviously, if you have a plan right now with Bright, you’ll need to take some action:
What to Do if You Have Bright Health
First, know that your current coverage will continue through the end of 2022. There’s no need to panic about losing coverage this year.
That said, it is important that you not miss Open Enrollment for 2023 plans, which begins November 1. During Open Enrollment you will have the opportunity to select a new health plan that will take effect on January 1, 2023, so you won’t experience any lapse in coverage.
